Terry Costa, the man behind Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model and Hot Gay DJ, presents his latest project Artists for Life, a fundraising showcase of actors, dancers and singers in support of AIDS Vancouver and Friends for Life.

Local promoters Pat Hogan and Claire Robson return with the sixth edition of BOLDFest in September, bringing together lesbians and dykes from across North America for a weekend of fun and learning.

Twenty years ago, Dr Peter Jepson-Young began what became known as The Dr Peter Diaries on CBC Television.  For many this was their first introduction to someone with AIDS.  Over the next year, up until two weeks before his death, Dr Peter continued to chronicle his fight with this disease.  In celebration of this 20th anniversary, on September 19th twenty-one of Vancouver’s top restaurants join forces for an unforgettable evening of food and wine to benefit the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, one of the many legacies left behind by this courageous man.

The 2010 Gay Men's Health Summit, to be held November 25 & 26, has put out the call for submissions for presentations, workshops and videos.

Members from the cast of the national tour of Disney’s The Lion King, currently on stage at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, are set to host a benefit cabaret on July 26th to raise funds for Youth Community Outreach AIDS Society (YouthCO) and the National Congress of Black Women Foundation (NCBWF).

Vancouver Police released photos taken from surveillance footage of two suspects in a violent assault against Peter Regier and his partner David Holtzman. UPDATE: Two Richmond brothers Parminder Singh Peter Bassi, 30 and Ravinder Robbie Bassi, 27 have been charged with a variety of offences. The assulta has been investigated as a hate crime although it is unknown if hate crime charges will be persued.
